FULL SPECIALIST ESTHETICSNAIL TECHNOLOGY

FULL SPECIALIST

What will you learn
The Full Specialist program is a combination of the Esthetics and Nail Technology courses.  For accelerated training, you will spend two days per week in the nails program and then two days per week in the esthetics program.

FAB is a Dermalogica Partnership School so as part of the Esthetics course, you will be trained in using the Dermalogica line of products. You also have the free option of being certified in the Dermalogica lineup as part of your instruction.

Employers value the versatility of a Full Specialist.  Upon graduation, you will be much more attractive to employers as compared to holding only an esthetics or nail technology license. This is especially true if you plan on working for a large spa.

Course Duration
400 hours.  Classes run from Monday to Thursday from 9am to 9pm.  You will complete the course within 3 months. If you can only attend half-day or can only attend on certain days, you can work with your instructors on a customized schedule.

Total Tuition
$4,990 which represents a $1,030 savings as compared to signing up for each program individually. This includes 3 months of instruction, a Dermalogica esthetics kit, a nail kit, apron, all state board license and registration fees. We use the latest edition of Milady’s textbooks, workbooks and exam review books which can be purchased via Amazon. The ISBN numbers are listed below in the FAQ.

Only $800 is due at enrollment.  The balance of tuition can be spread out over the program.  This equates to $770 per month until graduation.  You will get a $200 discount on the program if you signup and pay in full using cash, check or Zelle.

At the end of the course, you will test with our lead instructors. You do not need to sit for a state exam.

You save $1,030 in tuition when enrolling as a full specialist as compared to signing up for each program individually.

We do not offer federal student grants or financial aid because this program is too short (Federal grants only apply to programs above 600 hours). However, most students will attest that this program is one of the best bang-for-your-buck programs in Orlando. Most students recoup their tuition within three months after graduation when working in a spa.

Career Opportunities
With a Full Specialist license, you can work at a nail salon, esthetics spa or to start your own spa/salon. Employers prefer Full Specialists over a single Nail Technician or Esthetics licensee because of their versatility and further training.

When can I start?

Both English and Spanish classes operate on a revolving 10-week “wheel.” You can start any Monday from weeks 1 to 7.  However, there is a blackout period for enrollments for Skincare on weeks 8 to 10 due to exams.

For example, if you start in on week 3 of the current wheel, you would complete until week 10 and then finish when the class rotates past week  2.

I can only attend days or nights. Can I still enroll?

As long as you can hit all of the topics covered in the wheel, you can work with your instructor on the schedule.  For instance, if you can only attend the English class at nights, you should complete the wheel within 5 months.

Do you offer financial aid?

Federal financial aid only applies for programs that are above 600 hours. Since Florida only requires 400 hours for a Full Specialist license, federal funding does not apply for most schools in Florida (unless they structure a program with hours beyond Florida requirements).

We offer payment plans so you only need to pay $800 at enrollment and the balance can be paid monthly while you are in school.

What is the ultimate cost versus a school that offers financial aid

The typical cost of a Full Specialist program from a school that structures their program above 600 hours is $15,000.  If you qualify, the government will give you a maximum of $6,495 in Pell grants which you do not need to pay back.  This leaves you with  $8,505 which you need to borrow from the federal government in the form of student loans.

At Florida Academy of Beauty , the Full Specialist program costs $4,990.  The total cost of our program is cheaper than schools that offer financial aid because the Pell grant does not cover the total cost.

You can enroll in the program with an $800 deposit.  Then it is $770 per month until full payment is made or until you graduate.
