When can I start?

Our Cosmetology program operates on a revolving 9-month “wheel.” You can start any Monday when class is in session. Do note that we are closed on all public holidays.

If you start in the middle of the current wheel (month 3), you would complete until month 9 and then finish when the class rotates past month  2 in the next revolution.

What language is the class taught in

Our instructors in this class are bilingual.  They will teach in either English or/and Spanish depending on which students are present for class.

Do you offer financial aid?

While we do not offer financial aid, we offer high caliber staff and facilities at a modest price.  At $4,790 for the cosmetology program, you will be hard pressed to find a school in Orlando of such quality at such reasonable prices.

What is the ultimate cost versus a school that offers financial aid

The typical cost of the Cosmetology program for a school that offers financial aid is $15,000.  If you qualify, the government will give you a maximum of $6,495 in Pell grants which you do not need to pay back.  This leaves you with  $8,505 which you need to borrow from the federal government in the form of student loans).

At Hollywood Beauty Academy, the Cosmetology program costs $4,790.  The total cost of our program is much cheaper than schools that offer financial aid because the Pell grant covers only a fraction of the total cost.

You can enroll in the program with an $800 deposit.  Then it is $332.50 per month until you graduate.

What books are required for the class?

We use the latest Milady textbooks and workbooks.  Please bring the books (or e-books) to your first day of class:

MILADY STANDARD COSMETOLOGY TEXTBOOK, 13th EDITION. ISBN: 1-285-76941-7

MILADY STANDARD COSMETOLOGY EXAM REVIEW, 2016 EDITION ISBN: 1-285-76955-4

MILADY STANDARD COSMETOLOGY STUDY GUIDE, 13th EDITION ISBN: 1-285-76963-5

Do I need to take a final exam

At the end of the program, you will be invited to sit for the Florida cosmetology exam.  All cosmetologists must pass this exam before receiving their license.

In the advent that you do not pass on the first try, our instructors are available for further review in preparation for a second exam.

I have more questions

You are welcome to visit the school.  Please call our admissions staff at (407) 292 6727 so they can arrange a tour and block off 5-minutes with your future instructor.
